Litt obligatorisk:
Having severed the ties from their postrock past, the instrumental vessel called Pow Pow has set sail for a quite different musical galaxy. A galaxy where sparkling electric contacts are made between musical worlds that at first may seem to be at odds. This is the place where raving decadence and strict symmetry come together like one natural entity. Hear the olympic cheers of the melodies in The Ark, climb onboard the pop satelite called Solar Eclipse, dive into the mystic kraut mantras of the title track, let the promiscuous surf guitars and soul searching synths of The Beach take you away.
Last Days On Earth is the result of a group of young men with ears like satelites who are brought up on music with a strong will to travel, brought up on the grand norwegian troika of labels of the 2000s: Smalltown Supersound with bands like Jaga Jazzist, Telle with Röyksopp and Rune Grammofon with Supersilent. Megolomanic ambitions combined with the prostant moral of steady work is in the mothers milk of Pow Pow: Each and every beat a rebirth, every bass vibration a musical tidal wave.
